The recap is quick: Andor is sentenced to prison, and he's being sent to the titular planet - Narkina 5. I presume he will be escaping from there.
While Andor is locked and loaded [vice-versa, actually] onto the ship, Syril Karn has been brought up from the factory floor by Dedra Meero.
Andor Episode 1 [Kassa] and Episode 2 [That Would Be Me] Review
Episode 3 [Reckoning] and Episode 4 [Aldhani] of Andor by Star Wars
The fifth episode: The Axe Forgets, and the spectacular sixth: The Eye.
You know what, the prisons on Narkina 5, which is a WaterWorld very much reminiscent of Earth, remind me of the Raft prison in the MCU.
The floors of the prison are Tunqstoid steel - Tungsten on steroids. Nice.
Apropos steel, I am waiting very eagerly for the new beskar steel-fueled season of The Mandalorian. The previous two have been a gas, for sure:
Andy Serkis-sss! Golly, Gollum! Were you not repulsively adorable enough in The Lord of the Rings, or manipulatively cunning enough in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that you had to climb aboard Star Wars?
I love this dude. He played Einstein, y'know, alongside David Tennant.
42 minutes! Yay! I love every encounter I have with this lovely number.
Mon Mothma, meanwhile, is mingling in with many mean men of many means. Politics. Ugh. I have my set convictions, even if they convict me.
30 shifts! A month by Earth standards, although I do play around with it in my science fiction The Martium Chronicles Part 1: An Android Awoke.
Back on Andor's adopted home planet, Dedra has got a garrison setting up for drilling down and finding him. His family & friends are worried: Bix & Brasso [which is a brand-name brass polishing solvent, prevalent in the Indian Army for burnishing brassware; Silvo for silverware, duh].
Surprise! Vel and Cinta are on Ferrix, too, not too far away from his F&F.
[Beren and] Luth(i)en + Kle-ya [antiques are clay, aren't they? Yeah? Yes.]
People are gettting left behind left right and centre : March of the Rebel!
One of the co-worker labour camp residents of Cassian fries himself. :(
Luthen meets rebel Saw Gerrera, played by the incomparable Forest Fire Whitaker, whose turn as the The Last King of Scotland won Oscar!
Let's take a moment or two to talk about forest fires and climate change:
I'll find more to say about this but let's Get Back by The Beatles to Andor:
"Anarchy is a seductive concept." Nice script writing, Jared Bush. Kudos.
Salman Pa(a)k. I should've know, given Star Wars' penchant for naming people and things with just slight variations of actual, real people et al.
It's 00:42 in India [IST] right now, on the first evening/night of Chhathh.
Andor hasn't yet escaped Narkina 5, which is Narak [Hell] in Hindi. Ciao.
