Speaking of Old Trafford, it’s possible that the current team has been taking home advantage for granted, because of multiple statistics that paint a picture of complacence. First up, we aren’t scoring in the first half, at all. We have been losing home games way more than earlier, with 7 defeats already. We don’t want a repeat of the 1963 season, when we lost 9 at Old Trafford. Even though Ipswich last won at Old Trafford in May 1984, which is more than a year before I was born, on 15 August 1985, but call it a coincidence or a spiral, that was also the last time Manchester United lost a league game that we were leading at half time. It has been 388 games since that loss, and I don’t want to have to make another video in which we have rewritten a terrible statistic. Instead, I want the Red Devils to show attacking intent by scoring. Finally, Ipswich Town’s one clean sheet came during the rising and shining of Fergie’s Fledglings, in November 1993. I actually became aware of Manchester United during the late 90s, mainly because of David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane. Since those days I have always taken the number 7 shirt in all the teams I played in, from school to post graduation.
