Hello my fellow football fanatics! 12 hours from now is a very edgy match at Old Trafford, the Theater of Dreams, when Man United host Athletic Bilbao in the 2nd leg of Europa League Semifinal. Even a 3 goal advantage doesn’t seem enough, even though all 133 teams that previously held such a headstart have progressed from the knockout stages in UEFA games.

That being said, United did concede 4 goals to Brentford, and later scored a couple in added time to bring down the deficit, but we failed to take a point with another comeback to salvage a draw in the Premier League. I wonder how the team gets extra firepower in the Europa League?

But we Red Devils fans don’t care as long as we hold on for dear life and make it to the final, wherein we might face off against another Premier League team enduring a sad and bad campaign - Tottenham Hotspur. They are just below us in the table, one point adrift.

Maybe next season we can shoot for the moon, but this season, all our hopes are piled on this European competition. Athletic’s last win against English opposition was 13 years ago against us, so triskaidekaphobics, beware! That’s the “proper” term for fear of the number 13. Also, the unbeaten run we have in this season’s European competition gives us a lot of momentum. But, the past is history and the future is a mystery, and just like life, football is highly unpredictable.
