You remember that cheer, "C’mon India, dikha do, dunia ko hila do?"
Well, Wills did not manage to give the Indians enough will power in 1999, and as I’m sure you know by now, New Zealand beat India in the World Test Championship, which I think would've happened anyway, rain or no rain. Don't feel like reading the rest of this article? Watch it!
Virat Kohli now wants a best of 3 WTC; like the fox said, the grapes are sour. Anyway, on to the future with the Strawberry Moon shining down on Team India (and hopefully giving them some luck and will power).
The India-Sri Lanka ODIs will happen on 13, 16 and 18 July in the Island Nation, followed by the T20s on 21, 23 and 25 July, so July will just fly by in 4s and 6s!
Then comes one and a half months of Test cricket between India and England. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel for my googly spins on the highlights of the Men in Blue - and the Women in Blue!
And now, the hectic schedule of the Women in Blue, who just drew a Test against England. They will play 3 ODIs against the same opponents over the next week, from 9 to 14 July, followed by 3 T20s in the second week of July, after which they will resume national duties Down Under, once the Men’s Test series against England gets over in the middle of September. The Australian series will entail 3 ODIs, followed by a One-off Test, and finish with 3 T20s in October.
So we got a lot of cricket coming up even as the Euro and Copa America tournaments end. The English Premier League season will kick off a day before my birthday on India’s Independence Day!
I will be live streaming Manchester United’s first match against Leeds United at Old Trafford. Check out the 11 Man U players who are playing for their countries in Euros 2020 in the video below:
