The title of the episode harkens back to Casablanca, the 1942 movie that bagged 3 Academy Awards / Oscars / golden men / statuettes.

Ah! The kid in question is Steve Martin's character's slightly estranged, totally strange daughter. She returns to him, as does Nathan Lane, an antagonist from Season One, who lives in the Arconia, now with a leg encircled with an electronic tracking bracelet - personal geofencing?

Another return is of Steve Martin's character, to the Brazzos set, set up with a wheelchair and "a touch of dementia" for his character. META!!!

The gang gets together and the plot progresses along expected lines, with another clue / murder weapon winding up in Savege's apartment.

Speaking of apartments, his daughter takes them in secret passageways that let them spy on their neighbours, and some more secrets come out.

Finally, as the Savage daughter is about to leave, she tells him about the night of the first season's finale: she was there in the Arconia and saw the murderer of Bunny Folger, a masked person who also knows about the passageways between the apartments. Also, another return: JAN! :)
