Excelsior, Marvelers! Alright everyone, let's talk about Secret Invasion!
I love Samuel L Jackson ever since seeing him play Jules in Pulp Fiction.
TL;DR : if you prefer, just watch my YouTube video of Secret Invasion E1:
Here's what he said in Pulp Fiction as the bad emmeffer character Jules: "Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee." At least, this is what I remember him saying lol.
But I must admit that he also gave me nightmares after his Deep Blue Sea.
Moving on to Moscow, present day - and seeing Arthur Dent right away!
A conspiracy theorist with the usual wall-to-wall clippings and screens.
A footchase through the bylanes and rooftops of Moscow ends with a fall.
Nothing is at it seems [Pearl Jam]: Watson is not Ross but a "bad" Skrull.
Scotty, sorry, Fury - is beamed down to Earth from SABER [Spider-Man].
Let the spy games commence! I wanted to wear a beanie like Fury, but this backward Avengers cap will have to do instead. The beanie cap also reminds me of Todd from Bojack Horseman - see it if you have not yet - but be warned, it's for adults. Also, the dirty nuclear scientist's ex-wife lives in Miami with a soccer player, which reminds irrevocably of Messi.
Woah! Fanservice of that infamous Fury Blipping away scene! Yay MCU!
Ok, what are fracking pods? All I know is that fracking is drilling shale.
Alright, there's some familial fraternisation between Talos and his estranged daughter played by Game of Thrones' Daenerys Dragon.
It's slightly different from other Marvel shows, because the villain is a clear and present danger - with gravitas. The name's Gravik, Skrull OG.
And finally, the episode goes kaboom, Cobie Smulders is a guest star, and Talos and Fury fly into the wind while the villain gets away. Bye!
I will record and upload my YouTube video of this review and link it at the top.
