Previous episodes of The Acolyte are reviewed here chapter-wise. Enjoy!
Hello my fellow star warriors and May the force be with you! The latest episode of the acolyte is named Choice. Very noice!
If you thought I’ve mispronounced nice, then you need to watch Brooklyn 99, which is an awesomax fun cop show.
But unlike Star Wars, it is based in reality, or as far as reel life is real life. In the Star Wars extended universe, imagination is rampant and given free rein over life.
Reins reminds me of the house of the dragon, which is way too gory, just like game of thrones: way too gratuitous. But that’s just me, and I mostly watch nearly everything even as my thumbs skip keys. Perhaps it is a symptom of early onset dementia, but I’ll just live life till I die. LOL
On that dark note I say to you: smash that sub button for awesomax fun, thank you!
Circling back like a dragon to the acolyte, I must warn you that this is a spoiler review. We begin with the silhouette parade, from darth vader’s helmet onwards. Do check out my vids of other Star Wars shows too!
This episode is a flashback to the event that set off this particular chain of events, 16 years ago on OSHA and Mae’s home planet, Brendok. That’s just Brendon with a k, another good example of slightly lazy naming that I’ve spoken about before too.
I’m talking about Ahsoka being two letters interchanged in King Ashoka the Great’s name, and Jedi Indara having an a put into Lord of Thunder Indra’s name.
Those are just two examples; I’ve given more in my earlier reviews of Star Wars.
The flashback starts from the POV or point of view of the 4 Jedi targets of Mae, but quickly turns into a re-run of the third episode, which was from the twins’ POV. I’m slightly disappointed about the pacing.
The episode picks up in the second half, driven by the inane decisions of the main characters, but escalation is necessary to keep the story moving forward, isn’t it? :)
So now we know that the 4 Jedi were not all goody-two-shoes, even though Osha did want to go with them to coruscant and become a Jedi. Maybe Mae was right in seeking vengeance on the merry quartet for killing her mother and their coven, hm?
Now we wait for the next Wednesday season finale drop, but not with bated breath. They’ll probably set up more seasons after Osha becomes Qimir version two point oh, but who knows? I certainly don’t, but I’d love to know what you think in the comments, and don’t forget to smash that sub button for awesomax Star Wars and more fun! Thank you for watching, and enjoy the Force!
