Bazinga, my fellow big bang theory enthusiasts! Young Sheldon is back with a bang and this is my reaction to the latest episode in the final season. So buckle in, like Sheldon always does, and get ready for a deep dive into the life, universe, and everything about the younger version of sheldon! If you haven’t seen my previous episode reviews, watch them now, and smash that sub button for awesomax fun! Without further ado, let’s get right into the episode and enjoy!
The episode description on amazon prime reads: “Georgie and Mandy’s wedding plans pit Mary vs Mandy’s mom, with baby CeeCee caught in the middle.” If you have seen this one, comment!
Also, ‘caught in the middle’ reminds me about Malcolm in the Middle, which is another awesomax show. It’s actually where Bryan Cranston, the Doctor, uh, not Doctor, the Heisenberg of Breaking Bad got his break. OK. Watch me do this slight slip-up of a lisp in the video below.
I like how sitcom setup shots tell us where the action is happening in just a couple of seconds. Reminds me of Seinfeld. Have you ever noticed how a person’s response to good morning can tell you a lot about how they are feeling? For more gems like this, browse through TV Tropes! :)
[Curb Your Enthusiasm has ended after two decades. Larry David!]
In the credits montage, Georgie shoos away the wayward bull, signifying his masculinity, haha.
As mentioned clearly in the title, the wedding plans are afoot. Differences in religious ideologies is the underlying fodder for humor, and as far as now, I cannot see a B-plot or subplot, so there.
Both grandmoms get CeeCee baptized by their respective churches’ priests, trying to one up each other. It’s a classic TV trope, with two characters at war over an absurdly trivial matter.
The B-plot of Sheldon’s friend upgrading his computer without asking him first plays into the main plot. And, his upgraded computer beats him at chess, so he doesn’t like it. NOT. ONE. BIT.
Heath Ledger’s Joker act apart, we are moving towards the end of this final season, and I feel it could use some more jokes other than modern family type setups. I hope there are many more laughs and cries, to paraphrase Family Guy’s opening jingle. Looking forward to your Young Sheldon comments, and make sure to smash that sub button for awesomax fun. Be kind!
